Andrew, good and bad news. BAD NEWS: I won't be able to come to Adelade. I'll be working. GOOD NEWS: I'll be working. :) Current Mood: Ecstatic!!! | | Saturday, September 16th, 2006 | | 9:20 pm |
My fave flash game has a sequel. http://fizzlebot.com/cdt3.phpThe first 10 took me 1:10 when they were first released, the last 5 got blitzed in about 36 mins. Can anyone beat 1:46? Current Mood: creative | | Saturday, September 9th, 2006 | | 10:28 am |
For Katie
This picture was added to my icons when I decided to run a LARP for my 21st. The plan still kinda stands, but it's more likely to be in December. The reason? It kinda reminds me of GMing. Pulling the strings and watching the Marionettes dance. Current Mood: tired | | Saturday, September 2nd, 2006 | | 12:37 am |
Spoke to Dina today. I'm really happy to hear from her. She was in a great mood, and it really brightened me up. I'll need to find some time to see her. I really miss her. Other than that, I'm still sick and I have "West Side Story" going through my head. But, at least some good stuff happened today. | | Saturday, August 26th, 2006 | | 12:22 am |
War... War never changes.
Today I feel totally unoriginal. The upside is: I don't care, it's going to be good anyway. http://www.falloutlarp.comhttp://www.nukacola.comIf you head to the gallery on the first link, they have some really nice photos, and elsewhere on the site there's some really nice videos. Also, currently negotiating location for the game. THIS JUST IN: 24 hrs to go :) Current Mood: Reasonably Happy. | | Friday, August 25th, 2006 | | 11:07 am |

Inspired
I always feel refreshed when a computer game comes up with a new spin on an old genre. In this case, it was creating an army of Legend. What say that crazy Leonardo guy was actually recognised as an engineering visionary in his time? What if his writings had been discovered by someone actually interested in making his mechanically propelled vehicles and personal flying machines? What if that someone wanted to make an army? Rise of Legend seems to have my attention - at least for now. I saw an advertisment in a magazine I bought while occupying myself in the time before my job interview (which went well, but was less important than this amazing advertisment). The picture one one of the pages of the advertisment was of a poster itso the "One Man" posters of WWII Britain and America during the Vietnam Conflicts. The man was in stylised plate which looked very late-med to early-renaissance aside from the odd looking attachments, including the strange mechanical looking bits on the Sallet and the "Double Flintlock" with a rather modern looking mechanism. The thing that sets this picture apart for me was not only the name of the army, the Vinci Army, but the strange flying devices overhead. It was right then that I realised where I had seen them - They were Leonardo sketches. The scope for this is incredible. I'm thinking about buying this game even though I'm mostly over RTS games. I will now attempt to attach the part of the picture that I could find online to this post. Please don't hate me. Also, I hate stupid people that think they're allowed to have double standards because "At least I'm trying." Well the difference is: You're not trying, you're repeatedly failing. Swallow your pride and admit that the reason I'm saying things is because; 1) You've surely proven by now that you can't make any headway continuing on the same avenue, 2) I have proven that I can do it, other people have followed my instructions and can do it successfully now because they're happy to take suggestions. What makes you three different? Also, most rational human beings would try alternate solutions. Are you refusing to try the alternate solution because you think I'm wrong, or because I suggested it? Or perhaps you're too blind to see that alternatives are there. That being said, if you continue to do it I'm sure you'll get there. Let me know when you do because I will be happy for you - I want to see you make it there - Unfortunately, I might not be fit for travel then, so I'll send my Grandchildren over to take photos for me. Have fun. Dumb Shits. Current Mood: Extremes of emotion | | Friday, August 4th, 2006 | | 12:24 am |

Life Update - New Year's Game
Well, moving to Sydney is seeming more likely. I have been offered a weekend job at Action Paintball at Rouse Hill. Reasonable money, it's only 45mins drive from Sydney CBD and, most importantly, it's the best paintball field/Shop in Australia. Well, with the prospects of being able to run a game for my birthday being slim, I started thinking more about the game I was going to run. If you're interested in playing, please send me an email letting me know which of the following your desired character's philosophy would be: Technology, Faith, Evolution, (or any others you might be interested in). | | Tuesday, July 25th, 2006 | | 6:23 am |
I have plans of moving to Sydney on the 2nd of September. These are just rough plans, but plans nonetheless. Miss me! -Pup | | Wednesday, July 19th, 2006 | | 3:07 pm |

My Dungeon
Thanks Politas. I escaped from the Dungeon of Hell Puppy1!I killed Uberxael the kobold. I looted the Shield of Gabriel Pierce, the Armour of Rpgs, the Axe of Pinkfreaklk, the Sword of Wow., the Dagger of World Of Warcraft, the Armour of Roleplaying, the Wand of Role Playing, a Figurine of Frankiefan13, the Sceptre of Rpgs and 1 gold piece. Score: 76 Explore the Dungeon of Hell Puppy1 and try to beat this score, or enter your username to generate and explore your own dungeon... I have a boring dungeon, but it produced a few memorable moments. You zap Uberxael with the Wand of Role Playing. A ray of darkness strikes them, and they slump to the floor. Uberxael was carrying 1 gold piece. You quaff the potion marked 'ASTRAIMPERATOR'. You suffer a momentary vision of role playing. | | Sunday, June 18th, 2006 | | 4:37 am |

Aargh
Well, here goes: I want to go and play in a paintball competition this weekend. The good news is that other people from my field are going. The bad news is that it's in Dural (Whereever that is). I need to hit up my boss for enough money to go, but when I get there I just need to pay paint and entry. Aaron has worked a miracle and gotten me a place to stay up there. Aaron also got a fistfull of his teammates to agree to let me try out their markers when I get up there, so that's gonna be sweet. Probably going to be a bit costly in paint, but should be fun. The bad news is that the boss owes me money, so I need to extort that out of him, and I was supposed to work this weekend. Tiernan should be able to cover one group, but I'm a bit dubious about just how many groups there is going to be out there. I don't really want to leave Tiernan in a tough spot but at the same time, Aaron has gone to quite a bit of effort organising this weekend for me. The current plan is to lay-buy a Karnivore from one of Aaron's teammates. Should be sweet. Also, in happier news, the gurrl mentioned about 3 weeks ago turns out to be single and is part of a team in Canberra. Well, I happen to be in the market for a paintball team.... More news to come. |
